Stanislav Volkov
Professor of Mathematical Statistics, Deputy Head of Division
Stanislav Volkov received his Diploma and Ph.D. in Mathematics from Moscow State University, and his M.A. and M.Sc. in Economics from the New Economic School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Fields Institute (Canada) and EURANDOM (Netherlands) before moving to a permanent position at the University of Bristol (UK). Since 2012, he has been a Professor of Mathematical Statistics at Lund University.
His research interests include discrete probability, history-dependent random walks, time-inhomogeneous Markov chains, and percolation.
