Autumn Semester 2024

The autumn semester 2024 starts officially on Monday 2 September and ends on Sunday 19 January 2025. No classes are scheduled during the winter holidays, that is from 21 December 2024 to 6 January 2025.

Regarding admission

Courses and programmes starting in the autumn semester have been open for applications on universityadmissions.se and/or its Swedish counterpart, antagning.se in two admission rounds.

In the first admission round (deadline 15 January) only the Master's programme in mathematics has been open for applications and the admission results have already been communicated to all applicants. See information for new students.

The courses within the programme for students already enrolled in the programme have been open for applications on the second admission round (deadline 15 April). All applicants receive a first notification of selection results on 11 July and should accept or decline the offered study place by 19 July. The final notification of selection results is communicated on 25 July.

Some of the courses in mathematics, numerical analysis and mathematical statistics at the Faculty of Science will be opened for late applications in August. All late applicants will be placed on the waiting list in chronological order.

Admitted students will receive more information regarding the courses in early August. Applicants placed on the admission's waiting list will receive a decision regarding admission after the introductory meetings.

Course Information

Information about introductory meetings and course schedules is available in the schedule tool TimeEdit, see link to TimeEdit-webb.

Course websites for all courses in mathematics, mathematical statistics and numerical analysis given in the autumn semester will be available in the learning platform Canvas.

Admitted students will gain access to relevant course websites in the Canvas platform soon after the completion of the admission process.

However, general information regarding all our courses is accessible from the left menu, see Programme Structure and Course Offerings.
