Filip Elvander
I am a PhD student at the Department of Mathematical Statistics, supervised by Professor Andreas Jakobsson, and a member of the Statistical Signal Processing group. I am mainly focused on sparse recovery problems and convex relaxation methods with applications in spectral estimation, audio processing, and spectroscopy. On June 2 2017 I defended my thesis Sparse Modeling of Harmonic Signals for the degree of Licentiate in Engineering in mathematical statistics (teknologie licentiat i matematisk statistik).
I am a big fan of classical, contemporary, and electroacoustic music and have studied classical guitar with Leif-Åke Wiklund at Falun Conservatory of Classical Music.
