Autumn Semester 2025
The autumn semester starts officially on Monday 1 September and ends on Sunday 18 January 2026. No classes are scheduled during the winter holidays, that is from 23 December 2025 to 6 January 2026.
Regarding admission
Courses and programmes starting in the autumn semester have been open for applications on universityadmissions.se and/or its Swedish counterpart, antagning.se in two admission rounds.
In the first admission round (deadline 15 January) only the Bachelor's programme in mathematics has been open for applications and the admission results have already been communicated to all applicants.

Applicants in the second admission round (deadline 15 April) will receive a notification of first selection results on 10 July. Admitted applicants as well as applicants placed on the waiting list must accept or decline their study or reserve places no later than 18 July, see more information on antagning.se. The final admission results are communicated on 24 July.
Some of the courses in mathematics, numerical analysis and mathematical statistics at the Faculty of Science will be opened for late applications efter 4 August. All late applicants will be placed on the waiting list in chronological order.
Admitted students will receive more information regarding the courses in early August. Applicants placed on the admission's waiting list will receive a decision regarding admission after the introductory meetings.

Course websites for all courses in mathematics, mathematical statistics and numerical analysis given in the autumn semester will be available in the learning platform Canvas.
Admitted students will gain access to relevant course websites in the Canvas platform soon after the completion of the admission process.
