Statistics Seminar, "IPCW methods for logistic regression", Thomas Scheike, Copenhagen University
Simple logistic regression can be adapted to deal with right-censoring
by inverse probability of censoring weighting (IPCW). I compare
different IPCW approaches, one based on weighting the outcome, the other
based on weighting the estimating equations and the last being
equivalent to the pseudo-value approach. All methods that are used
commonly in practice and are becoming more popular in practical work.
None of the methods are overall theoretically best.
I show by simulations that the methods can
be surprisingly different in realistic settings. IPCW methods can also
be used for other things such as estimating restricted mean survival
time and time-lost due to different causes.
